- A 30,000 liter kerosene supply vehicle and operator will be available throughout the summer, 24 hours a day, to assist with any incidents
An approved 30,000 liter kerosene supply vehicle and an operator will be available at the island's airport 24 hours a day until October 31 to supply airplanes and helicopters responding to any incidents that occur. This operation facilitates day-to-day field surveillance and supervision tasks, and ensures that emergency vehicles can respond quickly when called into action.
Cepsa is also ready to meet further demand and transport the personnel necessary for operations that require a greater volume of fuel than is stored on La Gomera.
Cepsa has been involved with this task force on La Gomera for the last eight years, and during that time there have been successful rescues at sea, extinctions of forest fires and medical evacuations during the summer season.
This is the ninth year that Cepsa is taking part in this campaign, which in past summers has played a key role in successfully resolving emergencies. It is doing so mindful of its responsibility toward the people of the Canary Islands, and of safety in all aspects of its activity.
